I’m beginning to think we need to find ways to decouple the offices of the president and vice-president.

For one, I’m not sure it makes sense to consider the VP part of the executive branch, since most of the office’s constitutional duties are actually legislative in nature.

Part of me feels like it would be better to actually vote for the offices separately (how that would effect the actual electoral vote is another question, but most states bind their electors to the popular will anyway).

For now, he’s just another spokesperson for Trump. They were separate, originally, and that caused so many problems they fixed it pretty quickly.
