It’s why the Trump tough guy persona amuses me. He’s a guy who has no idea of a tough guy’s idea what a tough guy is. The POWs I watched a documentary about the other night. Now those were tough guys. No bluster, no fakeness, just real grit.

He’s in deep love with the mob ethos. He wanted to be John Gotti. But while the Five Families were happy to take his money in return for their concrete, he never made it into one of their social clubs. The mob was smart to keep him at arm’s length.

But the Russian Mob one-upped the Mafia and saw someone they could fool into thinking he was one of them while setting him up as a patsy.

Oh, and those Mafioso he admired so much? They’re all dead or in jail. He never paid attention to that part.
