And the Law of Diminishing Returns is kicking in, too - a lot of shit he got away with early in his term is not working any more. The fearmongering only works on his hard core, and people are asking more questions now than they ever did. And more and more of what they dismissed as being ‘fake news’ is being revealed as the truth, verified by more and more stories with very reliable sourcing.

He was hoping he could wear down the Resistance, but if anything it’s gotten stronger.
