Getting old isn’t so bad if you keep it in perspective. There are plenty of things I can no longer do, at least physically (I have no desire to jump out of an airplane via parachute, for instance). And acknowledging long ago that I would never change the world, or contribute anything amazing to it, also helps. Acceptance is pretty hard sometimes, but it brings more peace to who you are.

It’s difficult, the acceptance part. Hubby got a new company car. I am pissed at all the computerized controls. No longer can one just push a button to do simple things. One must access multiple menus and then hit the right icon.

I can’t imagine having do that and drive at the same time.

WHAT A PITA!

I may not be driving in a few years.
