I think the idea was: force Pence to resign, or impeach him along with Trump. With no VP, Pelosi becomes president. She appoints Clinton as VP and once Clinton is confirmed, Pelosi resigns. That’s like ninth season West Wing shit

That could potentially cause us to have four different presidents in a single calendar year. That would be complete chaos. Plus, any VP appointment would have to be approved in the House and Senate. Clinton or Pelosi would never make it through the Senate.
