What, me worry?7/03/2010 6:35:43 pm PDT

re: #401 reine.de.tout

During my Pilates classt this morning, I dropped a heavy piece of equipment on top of my foot - and now it hurts all the way up to my ankle, and all the way through my foot, to the sole of my foot. I can hardly walk. Elevated it for awhile, iced it, gonna do it again in a bit. I cannot believe how much this thing hurts.

Now good news - my old cat (she’s about 17-18 years old) quit eating a couple of weeks ago, I was so worried about her. She seemed to feel fine, she was drinking water, she would sit with us and purrr - she just wasn’t eating, and had lost about a pound. When you only weight 7 pounds to begin with, a one pound loss is a big deal.

She started eating again a day or two ago, and is really digging into the food. I believe she’s gained back a couple of ounces of weight. So, looks like we’ll have her around for some time, yet! She’s a good cat, has been an excellent pet, and has given us a lot of joy. So, I’m really pleased she started eating again.

My kitty slowed down eating. He went from about 18 lbs to 5 lbs within about 6-8 months. But then he plateaued there for a year or more before he passed. We had him 16 yrs but he was full grown when I found him. So your kitty may be around awhile yet.

I found out later his teeth were very bad and that could have contributed to his not eating. His breath was particularly stinky. I should have known.

Does your foot hurt when you just touch it?
