The problem is that a small, angry minority was empowered by a flaw in our Constitituion to elect a dimwit who promised to exact vengeance, for lack of a better word, on their behalf.

This occurred to me a few months after the election, and I’ve seen it elsewhere as well. There’s a huge undercurrent of “We’ll teach you motherfuckers to elect a ni-CLANG President!” The only agenda for the GOP over the next four years is to burn down every aspect of Obama’s work, which is pretty much what Steve Bannon has a hard-on for.

You factor in the low-info “OMG Hillary is as bad as Trump”, and the people who are so desperate that honestly believe Trump cares about them, and you’ve got a shit storm of malice and straight-up evil that we haven’t seen since Jeff Davis founded his own startup in 1861.

Trump actually got a lower percentage of the popular vote than Romney did, so he didn’t exactly run a brilliant campaign. What happened was that with the help of the Benghazi Committee, Russia, the FBI and the mainstream media, they convinced just barely enough people not to vote for Clinton to squeak out an electoral victory despite a solid majority of voters being convinced that Trump was unqualified. And Trump doesn’t get to run against Clinton again in 2020, if he even runs for reelection.
