On second thought, if this scenario were ever attempted in the US, it would be turned into a twisted reality tv show, be YUUUGE in the ratings, and filled with sneering, gloating audience members in “fuck your feelings” T-shirts shouting “Kill! Kill! Kill!” at reluctant executioner conscripts :/
