Unfortunately, in my opinion, a major benefit. This will be the second time that there will be a populist belief that the President has not payed attention to the feelings of the citizens. First the health care reform and now this issue. Both are issues that had populist opinions steering the dialog, and both times the perception was the President didn’t care.
