He didn’t need to, but he did. Again, not a criminal act. The events that truly matter in all this is the confrontation itself. The state alleges that Zimmerman chased down Martin and then attacked him, the defense alleges that Martin circled back to confront Zimmerman and ultimately was the aggressor.

Right now, the state’s case is thin as wax paper.
