The point is that birth is an arbitrary time point in relation to actual personhood.
I don’t know if I agree with that. Birth is a transitional state for the fetus to a baby. The baby is caused to start breathing and typically starts crying. Don’t know if we should make that the ‘point’ where it becomes a person, but it’s a significant milestone.
But the reality is abortion at that late a stage happens so infrequently, and if so are usually caused by serious consequence, that it’s a somewhat specious argument.
