I was just thinking about that. Not changing it now but how it got changed from 21 in the first place - kids did it (with adult support of course but). Kids have the power to make huge changes in our country as proven by the 60s. Kids got us out of Nam, changed the voting age to 18, stopped the draft. I am so excited to see this mobilization again. I’ve been waiting for it. So very sad to see what caused it - essentially bringing Nam home into our schools - but excited to seeing the kids saying “NO MORE!”. I think it will go beyond guns too. These kids are going to stand up for their minority and LGBT friends more than ever and fight for them in unity.

I was around when the voting age was lowered. I remember the argument at the time was something along the lines of “conscription with out representation”.
