Didn’t at least one Republican Senator reference “24” during the debate over the Patriot Act?

Not the original debate, such as it was, since the show had not yet premiered (its premiere was delayed after 9/11 and the opening scene depicting the destruction of an airliner in flight was cut down greatly).

Perhaps during a reauthorization debate.
