As long as there is a country called the USA that will support my passport, I’ll be OK. I’m too low profile a person for China to arrest or detain me in retaliation for Canada extraditing that Huawei exec.
However, it’s becoming more clear to me why some expats try very hard to obtain second passports.
From what I understand you are saying, it sounds like the turmoil has been at the political echelons. And that the Chinese in general are still welcoming of Americans. And people recognizing that everybody is still “human” is definitely a very good thing.
