I mean, that policy might be ok, if the people affected were ever believed when they call racist shit “racist”. But, you know, they’re not. They get told they’re playing the race card and that they’re the ones perpetuating racism by labeling it.

I continue to argue that the terms ‘racist’ and ‘racism’ are minimized not through overuse but underuse. The idea that ‘racist’ and ‘racism’ are somehow nebulous moral judgments truly argues the idea that, as you said, that there is somehow no objective idea of ‘racism’.

We call people things based on their actions all the time. People who do crimes are ‘criminals’. People who espouse Christianity are ‘Christians’. People who are angry frequently are called ‘angry’/’temperamental’. Why can’t people who frequently take racist actions be ‘racist’?
