I understood what you meant, but I hate to say that even in the ‘burbs, people are not going to have a problem with this. Nothing less than a felony conviction will be enough to get him out of politics

And with that there would be a constant mantra in the base that Trump was convicted by a kangaroo court in order to prevent him from winning the presidency back in 2024 because the Democrats feared him so much.

(I *hate* setting my brain into the mode that models this sort of thinking. It simply makes me feel dirty since it’s hateful, illogical, and devoid of rational thought.)
