So I have exactly 1 Washington insider friend.

He just emailed me, saying the real holdup on the budget bill is not planned parenthood or NPR.

It’s that the GOP really, really wants to slash the shit out of the EPA and a large number of other regulatory industries.

I’d been so distracted by the planned parenthood bullshit I forgot about the GOP war on EPA and the environment.

That’s too bad because we really need Congressional action on this. The EPA is taking its mandate to regulate GHG very seriously - too seriously, in my opinion, some of the monitoring they are suggesting in my industry are way, way beyond what is realistically needed.
