As I noted, I would be happy to answer polls. (As of yet, I have not seen a dial phone with a caller ID on it, though you can buy a separate caller ID box.) I don’t even get robo calls, except from dubious charities.

I’ve gotten two in my life. Once on my cell and once on a land line when I was living with my folks. Another aspect of it is that pollsters have probably found certain areas of the country that are a microcosm of the the entire country, so they might focus on those places. Sort of the old “but does it play in Peoria?”
