Um, SCOTUS is there to clarify/codify the laws and does have the power to tell the cities, states and the Feds that what they did was a big no-no, and depending on what was argued, either shuts down allowed behavior or permits previously restricted behavior.

All of these loudmouthed Gobshites are more than happy when SCOTUS goes their way, but cry like babies when their ox gets gored.
