In thinking about this I realized I know someone who would fall in the incel category. A friend of my best friend.

He’s angry. Just angry at women. The ones who have been interested were not attractive enough. But only a swimsuit model is attractive enough.

He thinks he is entitled to a female that meets his standards.

He is not attractive in looks, but more than that, his sarcasm, contempt, and anger are very offputting. Many women look past a man’s looks. But you can’t look past something like that. He oozes it.

He has no clue how to talk to a woman, none. He managed to pull off a conversation with me because I’m married, but even then he couldn’t look me in the eye.

My friend has suggested he try online dating. “Only losers do that.” He’s had one girlfriend, in college, that left him. We are now 45 years old.

This is the kind of man that would identify with that group. He may not be in it but he definitely has it down.
