The base already believes that the drop in the market is all due to the blue wave in November. Remember for them it’s the Schumer Shutdown, not the Trump Shutdown. My brother even explained to me that the 2008 stock market crash was due to Democrats and helping the undeserving poor get mortgages, rather then the malfeasance of banks.

Stephen Moore, one of the guys with Navarro who gives Trump advice, just said on CNN “Trump’s absolutely right; the sell-off began with the latest rate hike, so the Fed is to blame.” There may in fact be something to this, but he refused to admit that Trump is exacerbating the situation with his reckless tweets. The base will believe that.
