KC had the Scouts for a few seconds….Then they were the Colorado Rockies and now the New Jersey Devils.

I am old enough to remember the two years of NHL hockey in Kansas City in the 70s, sorry to admit. The ridiculous thing is that by the late 80s our empty venue was STILL superior to at least a third of the venues in the league that had a team.

KC is way bigger now than it was then and has an empty new 21st century arena, but even so there just isn’t enough of a fanbase beyond the couple thousand diehards who show up for minor league hockey.
