Morans, we’re surrounded by morans.

Yes asshat, we are working on that. Do you know what helps prevent that disease? Masks. Social distancing from the infected. Antibiotic treatment (since that actually works on that disease).

You know what you don’t care about? A bunch of brown people dying from tuberculosis. Deflector shields noted.

Fun fact, tuberculosis is killing people in the USA today. 542 in 2018, the most recent number, up from 2017.

There were roughly 10,000 cases reported in 2019 (the lowest on record in the USA), 25,000 in 1993, 84,503 cases in 1953.

Thirteen million people in the USA today are alive with latent tuberculosis, which can become active at any time.

This country spends a fuquetonne of time and money working to eradicate tuberculosis, you bellend.

Do you know what happens when someone is diagnosed with tuberculosis? That person is quarantined. Every person around them is tested, and they are quarantined. Contact tracing begins to see who else might have been exposed.

That procedure is what reduced tuberculosis deaths in the USA.

Another fun fact: Tuberculosis only became a mandatory reportable disease to the federal government in 1953. Along with smallpox, it was one of the great killers in the XX Century. It is precisely because of the same things used to eradicate smallpox and TB that we can eradicate Covid-19, if we didn’t have feral conservatives.

We need a law like Sweden, where you can be jailed for spreading a deadly disease.
