This country spends a fuquetonne of time and money working to eradicate tuberculosis, you bellend.

Do you know what happens when someone is diagnosed with tuberculosis? That person is quarantined. Every person around them is tested, and they are quarantined. Contact tracing begins to see who else might have been exposed.

That procedure is what reduced tuberculosis deaths in the USA.

Another fun fact: Tuberculosis only became a mandatory reportable disease to the federal government in 1953. Along with smallpox, it was one of the great killers in the XX Century. It is precisely because of the same things used to eradicate smallpox and TB that we can eradicate Covid-19, if we didn’t have feral conservatives.
