I’m going to write a comment that will hopefully be thought provoking rather than flame provoking, but I’m probably an incurable optimist. Here goes:

Interesting that everyone here takes the position that the life of the fetus has no value at any point in its earlier development. Has anyone valid scientific data to define the point of “life”. Nah, didn’t think so. And of course everyone (so far) assumes that the right of sexual congress is absolute, in contradistinction to free speech, which is not. It’s an interesting question, is it not, which of the two rights is more fundamental. All animals have sex, but not all animals can produce Shakespeare’s plays, or, to play with the concept, Bach’s music.

How dare anyone criticize these GOP congressmen for their view on this, which, although I may not agree with, is a reasoned point of view with pros and cons. You treat anyone who is against abortion like barbaric hooligans. Some act like it, but most aren’t.

Well that’s what free elections are all about.

You have an opinion - vote! Or pay a lobbyist, which is probably more effective.
