I don’t think it’s offensive at all - journalists had better be able to handle frank speech about issues, and that’s one of the things they should be learning in high school. Walking out is putting their religion above their journalism.

Maybe that’s what they’re trying to do. I agree that this does have the look of a pre-staged walkout.

And, I would argue to the kids, not appropriate for a journalism conference. You have to stay in the room in order to report on what he’s saying.
