I can simply state with confidence that, at least with the ‘92-‘95 and ‘96-‘00 hatchbacks, that the Japanese-built ones felt more rock solid than the Canadian-built ones.

Sorry to keep humping you about Japan, but of non-American Fender electric guitars, the MIJ models are considered the best. And of course, Boss/Roland and Ibanez changed the sound of music.
