I mean….that said, I think we overestimate how much he’s actually being manipulated into evil. A lot of it doesn’t seem to take much actual pushing. A lot is just him surrounding himself with people who will tell him what he’s already convinced himself on.

Well for example, Trump knows less than zero about healthcare and would’ve signed anything Congress would’ve passed even if it broke all of his promises because he just didn’t care. He would’ve been happy to sign a Medicare for all bill; all he wanted was a signing ceremony so he could “win.”
