Following up, a little bit of my bio. I was so fucking smart in high school, that I graduated 10 out of 524 students while failing junior English. I got 1400 SAT scores without ever taking any practice test, and since that was good enough to get into every school I applied to, I never bothered retaking it. I was so smart that for the first three years at Drexel, I had a 3.4 average in chemical engineering without cracking a book and hardly showing up for class. Today, thirrty years later, I am going to bed soon because I am taking a community college English class because my entreprenurial skills weren’t up to snuff. I’m looking for a degree that I can get quickly and in a field that I hope is recession proof, because I’m sick of recessions. Believe me, I am still an arrogant SOB, I know I’m still intelligent as hell, and I’ve hit bottom.

You want to know arrogant?

Picture the average Caltech class. Every guy/gal there was the smartest in their school. Now they get humbled, no longer being the smartest.

Except for those few who are still the smartest in the room.

I couldn’t even stand to be around that guy. He had a field around him that ticked me off without him even saying anything.
