My suspicion is that the upper echelon of the GOP know that if Trump goes down that he’s going to pull down a lot of people with him.

Which is why they are trying so hard to ignore it all, in the hopes that it’ll all go away.

I think the Trump family hubris is so great that there is no escape from the maelstrom for any Republican, unless he/she will openly rebuke the Trumps and their own party.

I’ve seen almost no Republican do that.
