Remember this list that ggt posted the other day? The first one describes DF to a T - I remember the frightening “ends justify the means” authoritarian comments he’d always make (and how he said that, at the time of the American Revolution, he would’ve been a loyalist). So it’s only natural that, as the GOP goes full fascist, he’s one to dutifully follow :/
