So while the writing’s been on the wall for years, it’s fully apparent now that we have a Supreme Court all too willing to relegate women to the legal status of ‘incubator’ and transfer all their legal rights and personhood to their unborn child for the term, and will only consider restoring them upon natural, live birth.

And there’s nothing we can fucking do to stop it. We can try and put a band-aid on it later, or hope blithely for a chance to undo it in a later court, but with the pattern that our electorate has given us for decades, I’m hesitant to hold out hope for regaining a majority in the SCOTUS for at least another gen and a half.
