I already know I can’t tolerate the speech. I have not been able to watch any of the Convention, because every time I do I get filled with rage and anxiety. I have to view it as a reflection, rather than directly, like Perseus and Medusa.

I’ve been saying for a while that Trump is bound to implode. The two best chances of that happening are tonight’s speech and at the debates (probably the first one). I keep trying to figure out what that implosion would be - I could easily see him saying something like “look here, little lady” at the debate and it completely ending his chances, but I’m less sure about the convention speech. Then again, him just giving one of his regular speeches might be enough to get whatever undecideds or soft Trump supporters there are to run away…
