One key factor to watch will be how Fox News and wingnut blogs continue to treat him, whether or how soon his most devoted followers start becoming disenchanted. But keep in mind he hasn’t had to make any choices yet of any consequence. His cabinet picks are choices, of course. But as long as he spreads those around to people his base likes, they’ll continue to follow him. But actual decisions that benefit some and hurt others may be different. If most Trumpoids are happy with the appearance of things and don’t care much for specifics, he could hold them for a while.
