re: #360 MJ Hey MJ, it’s not so much that the media were played for the lap dogs that they were, it’s just that the LEFT has proposed nothing affirmative in nature since George W. Bush took office on January 20, 2001. NOTHING of Affirmative value. The constant drumbeat of Bush STOLE the election from Gore who couldn’t even win his own state (and if he had he’d have been elected POTUS and no one would care about Florida at all) and after CHARLES exposed the MSM - or at least Dan Rather, Mary Mapes and 60 Minutes of literally trying to throw the election to Kerry in ‘04 with the forged TANG documents (“Rathergate”) it’s been nothing but bash Bush and his administration day in and day out. No one was asking the Democrats (in the minority in 2001 and 2002 with a Rep. President, House and Senate) to come up with “positive ideas” in order to remain a viable party. Nothing but a constant, unceasing drumbeat of how bad Bush was. How bad Rumsfeld and Cheney were. Caricatures of Bush as Hitler. Protests and protest marches covered like a rug by the MSM (and connections of those marches with ANSWER and other “disaffected” left over anti-Vietnam War clowns without one word of complaint or comparison by the MSM about how they organized those protests, etc., all because of Bush Derangement Syndrome and you know what? IT FUCKING WORKED. We wound up with a totally unqualified and unprepared person as POTUS, a person so ignorant that he’s now having doubts about Afghanistan - you know, the nation that openly stated Osama bin Laden was hiding there and they wouldn’t turn him over, so Bush leads us to Afghanistan and takes it over in what, 9 weeks or so after 9/11 and what does the MSM portray - what an incredible military we have to be able to pull this off? NO, what the MSM portrays is how many Afghan citizens WE killed.
And then Iraq - and btw, do you remember Valerie Plame now? What about “Scooter Libby”? No we’re now back to investigating some of those who gave the legal ok to “torture” the prisoners at GITMO - and never mind the fact that Nancy Pelosi and other high ranking DEMS were given complete and full briefings on these interrogation techniques starting back in ‘05 and never said a damn negative word about them. And ONLY the right was “troubled” by John Fucking Murtha’s betrayal of those Marines, only the right was “troubled” by the capture of Iranian Quds in Iraq teaching - sometimes by example - the “insurgents” how to kill American troops and it all got brushed away with BDS.
The American Left - if it had ANY conscience at all, would be embarrassed by the lack of journalistic ethics and responsibility they demonstrated, on a daily basis, against Bush and the Republicans.
Well Obama won’t be POTUS forever, and whenever he leaves office, I’m sure that any “malfeasance” on the part of Rahm Emmanual, Timothy Geitherner, Eric Holder and others will be just as thoroughly investigated.
