The insanity spewing forth from Trump coupled with the walkback/apologizing from Admin is nuts. Can’t trust any of them.

All Trump does is react to events/statements/Fox and Friends and spew nonsensical ravings regardless of the consequences.

So, Trump admin officials admit they were blindsided by Trump’s nonsensical ravings that push the nation to the brink of a nuclear war with North Korea and they didn’t have a clue what Trump would say/do.

Now, they’re also trying to walk it back, but they’re getting undercut by Trump and other staffers because the message isn’t consistent.

The walkback also undermines the very attempt at deterrence that was laughable from the start - there’s no where else to go if your first threat is nuclear war. You can’t escalate beyond that. If you don’t nuke, that shows your hand to be empty and you don’t have any other options.

Trump isn’t very good at any of this.
