I’d upding you if I could, but alas and alack, I am still a lowly hatchling.

My entire, very large, and extended family fit that mold to perfection, why try to make peace, when the bible says there will be war? Why attempt to protect the environment, when Jesus is coming for us any day now? Why worry about the fossil fuels running out eventually, if we need more God will make more, right? Evolution is just a giant conspiracy being directed by the devil himself to take away our faith in the in-errancy of the bible, you surely don’t believe those lies do you? Climate change is a cynical plot by the one world government supporting socialists to destroy our businesses and economy, can’t you see the truth? Sigh… :(

They literally live for the day when the rapture comes, it is seemingly their only goal or wish in life. Bible prophecy says that the world will continue to go to shit, and then culminate in the ultimate shittiness of the one world government under the “anti-christ” before it’s destruction. Why even worry about “material” things (excepting your own wealth of course), work towards peace with anyone, or attempt to compromise or work with anyone not a member of your belief system to improve things? They firmly and truly believe this is going to happen tomorrow if not sooner and there is no way to reason with them about it.

They are the new face of the GOP courtesy of the culture wars and the politicization of the church, and I have no clue how to change it. Hell I can’t even get my own family to listen to reason…
