You guys get Postural hypotension? You know where you almost pass out from standing up too fast?

I don’t, except for a touch of lightheadedness sometimes if I bounce up really fast and have been sitting cramped up.

Getting my blood pressure, however, is a three-ring circus. It begins with the nurse trying both arms and two different sizes of cuff. Then the doctor bustles in, announces that the nurse just doesn’t know how to do it, and does the same procedure, and then uses an old-fashioned hand-pumped bulb cuff, twice, and then finally gets the result.

Somewhere in the middle of this, I always begin to wonder if I am, perhaps, dead, and just haven’t had the sense to lie down yet.
