No, his lie that she said he was unqualified, followed by saying she was unqualified.

He didn’t just say she said it though, in the way one often does leaving wiggle room for paraphrasing and interpretation. He said:

“She has been saying lately that she thinks that I am quote unquote not qualified to be president,”

That’s nothing less than an overt lie. She said nothing of the sort, let alone anything that one might arguably infer to carry the same meaning or sentiment. As lies go that’s simply Orwellian in scope. I’m so fucking stunned by how baseless it was that, in conjunction with his NYDN interview I honestly wonder if he isn’t actually somewhat senile. I actually kind of want senility to be the answer, because otherwise the degree of bad faith on display has me genuinely afraid of how he would govern if he actually became President.
