We cannot allow the Russians to achieve their dream: they have been talking about the US fracturing ever since the Soviet Union did fracture and they are working on accomplishing this objective. We cannot give up and must continue to fight to keep this nation together. That’s how they win: to silence dissent by making the opposition too discouraged to work to unify this country again.

Moreover, the country isn’t really “liberal” states and “conservative” states. Each state has a mix of both.

Some sort of so-called Pacifica would still have plenty of conservatives in it. A “rump” United States if so-called liberal states said “we’re done” would leave both tens of millions of liberals stranded in Redstatia with no support, and a likely civil war with XXI Century weaponry.

If you don’t think that conservatives left in charge would not want to take out a war on “crunchy granola” California (which has no navy, army, or air force) …
