I don’t understand why a disabled vet should get a pass on anything other than something that is directly affected by his disability.

His service and sacrifice to the country deserves respect for what he did; he “deserves” nothing else. Getting wounded in and of itself is does not make for better person. An asshole is an asshole.

He got a pass because people thought the disability might make him more empathetic than someone like Trump whose idea of sacrifice is getting VD from sleeping around.
