You make some great points. I didn’t realize the importance of the un breakable glass at first, but people would buy it just for that. Electrical vehicle design has a long way to go. Here is what I would design, batteries are in the back.

If we had a sane and sensible government, we would simply make all municipal vehicles electric: these vehicles do not travel long distances and are always in an urban area with access to charging sites.

We just need to achieve a certain critical density and the system will implement itself using those good old Market Mechanisms they are so big on

Problem is, the big corporations have no use for any Market they cannot dominate and direct to their own benefit, consumers be damned.
