again, a President with any sense of vision or leadership could have rallied the populace around him in times of crisis, even with the economy suffering, if he provided a sense of resolve and competence.

But Donny freaked out the economy not only for the sake of his re-election chances, but also due to the damage it will do to his businesses…there is only so long that he can shuffle the numbers and set up shell companies and third-party straw men to cover his losses, and his loans will be coming due, revealing the extent to which he is in debt up to a lot of foreign lenders

I could swear I read somewhere that he’s got some loans from the Bank of China coming due pretty damn soon, in the next year or two. A couple hundred million bucks, IIRC. Of course, I’m 100% certain he’ll do everything he can to stiff them on that, whether he’s POTUS or not.
