I can see that awareness and getting a person to treatment would be a responsibility of those surrounding the person.
But how do you make that policy?
How do you unmake the apparent policy of using mentally ill people? Pearce “mentored” Ready, helped him convert, attended his baptism, and when he realized Ready was a nazi, he helped drive him out of the Republican Party, but did he try to help him beyond that? Doesn’t look like it.
