No, the allegations that Hillary Clinton broke the law were crap. Don’t forget that Whitewater ultimately resulted in several people going to prison, including Bill Clinton successor as governor of Arkansas. This last had a drawback, though, since it made Mike Huckabee the governor of the state. But Whitewater in and of itself was something worth investigating.

Yes, at the state level, where it would have remained had Hale not changed his story 4 years later. And had it remained an Arkansas matter, Ken Starr would never have been appointed to go digging into the personal life of one William Jefferson Clinton.
