Even civil rights attorneys have to dig into precedents etc. and make arguments before multiple courts often enough. Even THEY don’t always know on the fly (no pun intended) whether a specific action is constitutional or not until they can research. There is no way in hell the rest of us - or those people on the plane - could know for sure and the costs could be high for taking what could be a futile stand.

Yeah, being on a no-fly list and ending up even with an arrest record doesn’t help you in a lot of employment fields.
