You’re trying to force a correlation.

No, I’m observing that one appears to exist. The known side effects are real, listed right on the label, “violent behaviors.” I understand people’s desires not to be stigmatized if they’re taking such drugs, just like gun owners don’t like being stigmatized simply for owning guns. Can you find a single documented mass school shooting before the invention of SSRI’s, or where the shooter(s) have been shown not to be on such psychoactive medication? I can’t, and both mental illness and widespread semi automatic gun ownership certainly predates the invention of this class of drugs, so it’s not like means and opportunity didn’t exist before.
