He’s going to have a real problem in 2020 running as an incumbent.

I would like to think so, but there are two problematic things to consider: 1) The presidency has sort of normalized him in that he was a flat out crazy, awful candidate who people decided to take a chance on and the degree that the country doesn’t go spiraling off a cliff will make some people more trusting of him and 2) the Democrats will have to actually nominate someone to oppose him and whoever this candidate is, he or she will made to look worse than a Kenyan Muslim in a pantsuit.
