I can’t appreciate his many other qualities when he thinks an embryo’s rights and life trump a woman’s rights and life.

If life doesn’t begin at conception, please tell me when it does.

Well, there’s birth, ability to survive independently and ‘quickening’. They’ve all been used as “obvious” points where life begins.
If you want to get all philosophical, life doesn’t begin at conception-it began way before and each new birth is merely a continuation of that life.

None of these definitions make any difference to whether a woman has a right to terminate a pregnancy unless you also think people should be forced to donate organs, or whatever to save someone else’s life.
