It’s always funny to me that libertarians and anti-progressives fetishize the military so much, being that it’s a highly regimented, authoritarian, ‘socialist’ (in the modern bastardized version) communal group that’s used for the benefit of society as a whole.
I mean, I get that the glibertarian types think that physical defense is one of the only roles of the government (though Ron Paul seriously wants letters of marque, the scamp) but the actual formation and set up of the military should make them think.
But it doesn’t.
How does the Randian mindset deal with issues regarding product quality? They assume the free market will put them out of business? And if a product (or food item) kills or maims a bunch a people in the meantime it’s their own fault for buying it without checking it out first?
