Nobody’s saying that. What I’m saying is that we have to remember that the incumbent President gets reelected more often than not. Therefore, no matter how hideously bad Trump is, we should BY NO MEANS assume he’ll be easy to beat, if he manages not to resign or be impeached till 2020.

If the elections since then are any guide, I think a lot less people are assuming that the best candidate will win. Which is a good thing. The school board election in VA, where the GOP called the black woman running arrogant, saw her win by a 2-1 margin.
